This is CJ. He is almost 5 and most likely will be a tattooer someday!
His mom told me he set up a tattoo station during is 4th birthday and penned tattoos on all his friend.
He stayed there all day, even when there were more festivities taking place that you would think a 4 year old would be into. Nope CJ was making temporary tattoos on his friend! Rad!
I made this temp tattoo on CJ cause he was rad! He said he likes skulls… Ok another point for CJ!
The photo below was taken by Joe from 4theriders.com. It is a photo of my good friend and tattooer Paul Urich getting run over during one of his supermoto races on 6/27/10 at praire city, near sacramento!
Paul was leading the intermediate class heat race and I believe on lap 5 of 6 Paul lost the rear end and slide out. The toally normal crash in supermoto…especially when your pushing it fast like he does. The problem after the slideout was the guy behind who was battling for the lead had no where to go and ran straight into Paul!
Holy crap!.. is all I could say when i saw this photo! Paul is fine due to his helmot leathers, liatt neckbrace, and backbrace he wears!
Anyway, check out the full sequence on 4theriders.com, under 749crash. Pretty crazy!
Today was a rad day at pops tattoo in Vallejo! We are working on a new website that will launch soon! We had the incredibly talented Joey Colombo ( http://www.flickr.com/jdotcolombo )stop by and do a photo shoot for us! We all had a good time and Joey put it down!
I also had the pleasure of tattooing two really fun pieces! The first was a girl and rose and the second was none other than El Jefe himself.. Jesus!
Here is the in progress shot of the girl and rose. I’ll post a finishe pic after we make the color!
Here is the finished Jesus.. The client wanted it super dark and bloody!
Now this client, who is from San francisco, really got to feel the local flavor of Vallejo! Man was it a riot!
I surprised my wife with a trip to Portland for her to get dreads. It something she has been thinking about for awhile!
So after months of planning and coordiating.. Appointments, hotel, childcare, etc we arrived in Portland on Wednesday morning.
Here are a few pics of the trip:
Stephanie from akemi salon or http://www.dreadgoddess.com doing the deal!
The finished product.
We took portlands bus system called the trimet around town.. Definitely beat a rental since we didn’t have to worry about parking.
Seems like it’s either vegan or bacon in Portland! I vote bacon!
Stood in line for this! It was worth it!
Here are some more random pics from around town.
We also stopped by electric cobra tattoo and said hello to the guys working there! If you are looking for a classy place to get tattooed, for sure check these dudes out! Incredible shop with a great dress code! Go down there to find out what I’m talking about.
Anyway, that’s the quick of it! I may post more later! Thanks as always for checking out my blog.
So after about a year and a half I finally was able to get back to the gym and train! I’m very excited and am anxious to get back in shape.
We did a good solid hour work out that included 4 min rounds, 1 min rest circuits of sit ups, squat/stair jumps, rope climb, and ring dips. We them did 2 min rounds of kicking and kneeing drills. Man it was so fun!!!
My buddy steve had grappled to warm up before class and then decided to spar after… We only put on the mits and left the shin guards off cause we were both feeling the work out!
So here is a quick video of our sparring session.. Steve said he could only do one 2 min round cause he had work… Likely story, haha!
So that’s me in the orange camp shorts. My stand up definitely needs a lot of work, but I have a bunch of fun sparring!
Anyway, enjoy the vid and try to hold in your laughter!
