I painted this Rose up quick one day at work, but somehow the shop ate it and I no longer have the original

The story behind this sign is one day Paul Urich and I were getting coffee at Philz coffee in SF, which has the most incredible coffee. Paul asked the girl behind the counter after taking a sip of his coffee, “Why does this taste so good?” Without missing a beat Liz, the barista, says, “Oh, its sweetened with the tears of babies!”
INCREDIBLE!
That short interchange inspired me to paint this up and go give it to Liz the next day. Needless to say she was taken aback and totally stoked! So was I!

Last but not least, I painted this American Robin up for my 4 year old daughter who is in the pic below. She is RAD beyond belief and always cheers me up! Love you Mercinary!

Here is a recent tattoo I did on a friend I used to work with. There was a bit more stuff packed into it than I would have liked and somewhat more stylized than I enjoy! That said I had fun tattooing it and she left very happy as she had been waiting a year to get it!

All these will have color added later. I’m copying the line drawings, black and grey painted sheets, and then the full color painted sheets.

So the commute to SF got to me and I’m now working fulltime in Vallejo at Pop’s Tattoo!
On my last day in SF I had painted a sheet of tattoo designs and priced them to be similar to the prices paid in the early 1900’s.
I shot a Facebook status out and got 11 people to come by and get tattooed! Lots of zaps and a fun day with friends! Here is the sheet and a few of the tattoos.
